Course Description
Internal consultants use their expertise, influence, and interpersonal skills to facilitate a client requested change without the formal authority to implement their recommendations. The internal consultant’s ability to influence strategy, tactics, decisions, and behaviors is based both on expertise and relationships. Being clear about your consulting role and the phases of the consulting process is key. You have to walk a fine line between being an insider with knowledge of the culture and the business, and your value as an outsider with a more objective view and broad knowledge.
This workshop is based on the book, Consulting on the Inside: A Practical Guide for Internal Consultants, Second Edition, by Beverly Scott and B. Kim Barnes (ASTD Press, 2011). You will develop a greater understanding of your role, the consulting process itself, and how to use specific communication skills and tools to create an effective and successful internal consulting practice.

Course Description
Most of us have learned how to solve problems using analysis that produces a correct or best solution. However, not all problems are alike, and different types of problems require different approaches to solutions. Armed with an understanding of those differences, you will be able to gain a more nuanced view of a problem situation and see how to target your approach.
Einstein said that if he had an hour to save the world, he would spend fifty-five minutes defining the problem and five finding the solution. Puzzles, Mysteries & Muddles™ is based on twenty years of research by Jerry Talley, Ph.D., and will provide you with sophisticated insights and approaches that will enhance your success as a problem solver.

Course Description
One of the most pressing business challenges is keeping up with the pace of global innovation. To be competitive, organizations must create value by developing, selecting, and exploiting the best new ideas for improvement or radical change in products, processes, positioning, platform, or paradigm. In this program, you will discover and practice the mindsets and skill-sets needed to increase both the quality and quantity of innovation. As a result, you will be able to lead and manage a successful “Innovation Journey” from a strategic initiative to the creation of value.
Managing Innovation™ is based on the research of David Francis, Ph.D. at the Centre for Research in Innovation Management of the University of Brighton in the U.K. The program offers the opportunity to learn and apply the essential skills and processes for innovation management and leadership.
Host a Public Program
- Would you like to send several people to one of our public programs, but don’t want to pay for travel expenses?
- Do you have a small group that would like to attend one of our programs, but not enough people to make it worthwhile holding an internal session?
- Are you in a small start-up company with a limited budget for training and development?
If any of those situations is true for you, consider hosting a public program at your facility. Your team or individual contributors can attend at a significantly reduced cost and you can invite people from your customer, partner and supplier networks to attend at a discount.
